The concert flutist grew up in a family of musicians and started to play the flute at the age of 8. She studied at the Zurich University of Arts with professor Kiyoshi Kasai. At the end of her studies she received the Diploma for music pedagogy with commendation. She continued er studies at Musikhochschule Basel again in the class of professor Kiyoshi Kasai an graduatet with the concert level diploma.
She attended master courses with Conrad Klemm, Aurèle Nicolet and Kirsten Spratt, London, and continuous to attend extension studies with Philip Racine, Paris. She was awarded the ORPHEUS-KONZERTE prize. She made a name for herself with free improvisations which she plays with the concert flute, the ebony flute and from the alto flute to the bass flute. With the beauty of her tunes and her ability to touch the heart she fascinates her audience anew with every interpretation. Béatrice Rogger knows how to bring stories to life with her music. Lightness and vituosity in concert with musical sense and sophistication enthuses her audience at home and abroad. She is considered to be an expressive flutist and likes to work as a soloist as well as with orchestras.. She is also a much asked as a chamber musician. At September 2016 she recorded a solo CD, which is much favoured. |
